At VoiceBunny, we know “Speedies” are awesome for getting great reads fast, but for some projects, you might want to choose your own talent, rather than have Mr. VoiceBunny pick one. That’s why we are expanding our services and API to offer Search n’ Book. With Search n’ Book you can listen to samples, see prices up front, and book your favorite.
Our new service is super easy to use. Just make a request to our API with the kind of samples you are looking for (age, gender, language, etc.). After listening to the returned samples, you can use the project/addBooking method and enter the talentID argument provided by the search response for your chosen voice.
The samples’ purposes organize the voice samples into categories, making it easy to find what you’re looking for. Each sample is classified under one purpose, such as audio for audiobooks, movie trailers, TV/radio ads, etc.
To retrieve our list of samples you just need to make a GET request to this url:
If you think we’re missing a purpose or another category, contact us. Your feedback is always appreciated.
This is the main method to search samples. The response includes the information to book the talent, voice sample info, and the URL of the sample file so you can listen to it. To find samples, you need to use the following parameters in the request:
numberOfWords / numberOfCharacters
These parameters are the filters of the search, however, the only required parameter is language. You can use the other parameters to narrow your search. Also, don’t forget we support word-based and character-based languages. If you don’t know which one to use, check the languages documentation. If you specify the number of words/characters in your script, it will also return the price for that specific talent along with the sample.
This request is paginated, meaning you can play with these additional arguments to get the number of samples or paginate the number of samples per response:
Finally, to make a request, you must do a POST request including the above arguments:
